Disc One
Two Heads Are Better Than One Something is missing from Sid's garden, and he has his suspicions as to who is responsible. Mike's attempts to earn some money of his own are nearly foiled by Sid. Jean has no idea of what is going on but Sally comes to the rescue and all's well that nearly ends well..
Love Me, Love My Thee Sid's problems start when the family returns from holiday. Apart from having nothing to wear, everything seems as it was before they left - or is it? Trevor from next door doesn't get much of a welcome when he pops in - but the problem seems to have been resolved - or has it?
It's All In The Mind It doesn't often happen that Sid is able to get home from work early, but when he can, he does - and this time it doesn't do him much good. It isn't so much that he jumps to conclusions but when he sees it with his own eyes and hears it with his own ears - he has to take some action - and when he does the generation gap in the Abbott family household widens to a chasm.
Another Lost Weekend Of course Sid doesn't have to ask Jean if he can go fishing for the weekend - after all, nothing she's got in mind could interfere with his plans. Of course Jean expects Sid to be home when her father comes for the weekend - after all, Sid never plans anything without consulting her.
Parents Should Be Seen And Not Heard When Sid gets home after a hard day's work, he's perfectly right in expecting his dinner to be waiting for him. Jean's new hair-do not withstanding, he sticks by his guns, but quickly changes his mind when Geoffrey arrives and agrees to take Sally to the park. His fears are justified when Sally tells of her plans - and Mike doesn't help by agreeing with her.
Strangers In The Night JEAN: It was just after the war. I was on my way home after being demobbed. SID: And i was on my way home just after being demobbed. What happened just after the war makes 'The Naked Flesh' seem like the epilogue...
Disc Two
Get Me To The Match On Time Sid's plans for Saturday afternoon do not include Jean's sister: and if she can't make arrangements to fit into Sid's lunch hour on Thursday, then the only course for Sid is to take to his bed - dangerously ill.
Wives And Lovers If Jean hadn't started checking up on Sid, because he was late home for supper, then she wouldn't have discovered that he had a date the following evening. As things get even more involved, all she can do is hope that the 'other woman' won't turn up.
Never Again On Sunday It's not often that Sid agrees with Jean about anything and when he does it usually takes her by surprise and ends in disaster. If she had let him spend the day as he wanted - and in fact, always had, this particular disaster would never have happened.
People In Glass Houses It comes as quite a surprise to Sid to discover that Mike would rather not have a gold watch for his birthday - but what he wants instead comes as an even bigger surprise. And when Sid finally agreed to Mike's request he gets his biggest surprise of all.
A Rolls By Any Other Name If Mr Marshall, Sid's boss, is coming round on Saturday morning it must be the Watford area; but after he's left Sid finds himself on the way to Guildford. Mr Marshall gets lost looking for Jenkins in Rickmansworth, and Sir Maxwell cannot leave for Manchester until Sid gets back.
A Touch Of The Unknown Sid's problems start when Betty brings something into the house. Mike also brings something into the house and things get worse when Sid thinks that Mike's something has been brought in by Betty's something. | Ekstra features:
